Job Title: Clinical Practice Facilitator

Hours: 37.5

Work pattern: Monday to Friday 7.5 hours per day

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Circa £60,000 Depending on Experience

About the Role:

You will be hands-on, working directly with learners to coach, develop competency-based programs, and facilitate workshops, simulation training, and study events. This role is part of the Education Team and will be clinically focused, aiming to support our teams in delivering outstanding, person-centred care and achieving excellent outcomes in an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) to enhance and manage the clinical competency program, ensuring high standards of clinical care.
  • Chair the Clinical Practice Development Committee, driving improvements and integrating best practices into our clinical services.
  • Work closely with Clinical Managers to develop and evaluate orientation programs for clinical teams, facilitating their smooth integration into our hospital.
  • Encourage lifelong learning and professional growth through workshops, simulation training, and coaching, supporting the continuous development of healthcare professionals.
  • Deliver ILS (Immediate Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) training to ensure staff are equipped with essential life-saving skills.

 

Requirements:

  • NMC or HCPC registration with a valid license to practice and relevant educational qualifications
  • At least 3 years in a similar role with a solid clinical background, demonstrating experience in clinical practice, education, and competency management within a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and organisational abilities, with a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams
  • A strong commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical excellence, and aligning with the values of our hospital
